SRINAGAR, DECEMBER 08 (KNO) : Directorate of School Education, Kashmir (DSEK) today conducted surprise visit of some private schools and issued instructions to seal all schools/private coaching centres that are running their activities in violation of the winter vacation orders issued by the government. Responding to a number of complaints received from parents, DSEK constituted a special team that visited various schools including Doon International School where it was found that full academic activities including that of lower primary classes are being run by the school in violation of the order. Taking serious view of the matter, DSEK directed the CEO, Srinagar to initiate action against Doon International School for violating the orders. It also instructed CEOs to initiate action against unregistered private schools/coaching centres without delay, besides sealing schools/private coaching centres existing in their jurisdiction who have failed to publish their fee details/faculty details as required under law.(KNO)
